Brands

Gentle Fawn is a dynamic and imaginative line of clothing that speaks for people who follow their own paths in life.  Our style is clean and modern, with details that give each piece of clothing distinctiveness.  Our design reflects a strong sense of fashionable edge, but never neglects the bit of charm that sets us apart from the rest.

Fashion is often a question of design versus function.  Season after season, Gentle Fawn manages to create a line with the perfect blend of both great designs and functionality.  The brand has emerged as a stylish mix of nature and city elements.  This balance is the cornerstone of the collection and reflects the lives and philosophies of owners Daniel and Carla.

Over the years, we have maintained a loyal customer base which has consistently given us valuable feedbacks.  This has allowed us to continue improving our fits, fabrics and designs. Paying close attention to fine details and the quality of all products has ensured that Gentle Fawn delivers nothing but the best.

Subtle fashion tweaks provide a fresh spin on the ever-present nautical trend for Gentle Fawn’s Spring 2011 delivery. Where Army surplus is redone in slim silhouettes, washed and distressed canvas / twills in cool shades of Clay, Deep Sea and Balsam. Skinny cargos with flat pockets, band jackets, drape-y borrowed-from-your-boyfriend blouse and anorak mixed with subtle militant details such as regimental stripes, crest prints, epaulettes, antique brass buttons and rope belts round out this Pirate Brigade grouping.

Gentle Fawn Summer is high-drama and playful with the use of lace, crochet and chiffon contrasted with use of hardware like nail heads, and exposed zippers. Ruffles, cut-outs, ties, scallops and strappy details comprise the rest of the collection.  Accented with graphical Native American and African folk art in hyper-bright colors infuse garments with analytical geometry and just enough tough edge.

Function // Purpose // Collection

Function

COMUNE was formed from the idea that there will always be people out there who not only embrace the rawness and imperfections of every day life but use it to creatively push the boundaries of what’s possible in skateboarding, fashion, art, and music their own way, with complete disregard of the consequences.

Purpose

Our goal is to provide clothing that reflects this lifestyle of carefree idealism and to sup-port the people that choose to live it.

Collection

Spring // Summer Two Thousand and Eleven is a collection focused on classic, easy to wear warm weather silhouettes meshed with tri-picked oxford, yarn-dyed plaid corduroy, oil coated cotton (for those Spring rainy days), and brushed denim. Key styles like the Alton Woven, Ben Fleece, Kelly Denim, and Diego Jacket show this combination of design elements perfectly.

The Quiet Life is a small project from Los Angeles that is run by Andy Mueller
and Jennifer Pitt. Kevin Fernley joined the team in Oct. 2006.

Here's a little something about Andy:
Andy Mueller was raised in the mid-west on a healthy diet of BMX, skateboarding, music and magazines. At an early age, Andy became addicted to the art of image making and photo taking. In 1993, Andy founded OhioGirl Design, a small design/photo/film studio. In 1997, Andy started "The Quiet Life", as an outlet for purely creative ideas, with a few friends from within OhioGirl.
Originally producing only one or two designs a year, The Quiet Life has grown into a much larger project. The Quiet LIfe now releases 2 seasons a year with worldwide distribution, produces special designs for Upper Playground's 50-24-SF artist line and for 2K by Gingham, and releases limitied edition items that can only be found on this website.
In addition to the Quiet Life, Andy works full time at Girl Skateboards as a member of the infamous "Art Dump."At Girl, Andy's main duty is to art direct Girl's shoe company Lakai Limited Footwear, but he also designs skateboard deck graphics to Girl Skateboards and Chocolate Skateboards, shoots photos for Fourstar, Ruby and the other brands within Girl, and contributes elsewhere when time allows. Andy also continues to do freelance photograph, design, and special projects under the name OhioGirl, and co-runs a small "indie" music label called OhioGold Records,
Andy currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, two cats, bird, and a new baby boy!
He also really likes to play ping-pong and recently picked up his golf clubs for the first time in 15 years....

YOU CAN’T START A REVOLUTION WITHOUT BLOODSHED The Insight fashion ethos explained

How did a dirty little surf label’s blade get so effortlessly sharp?

Insight is a fashion lead lifestyle label, born out of the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. We come from a surf heritage yet lead a lifestyle that encompasses all that is surf, skate, street, art, music, fashion and popular culture.

Our designers follow their intuition to create unique trends, and pay little attention to where the crowd is heading –they prefer to create their own path.

This isn't high science of course however good ideas and good design are priceless and that?s what we are all about.
