Ambiguous started in the mid 90s with founder Frank Delgadillo. Never one to settle into the standard mold, Frank made clothes his friends would want to wear. Artists, musicians, skateboarders, snowboarders, surfers - his friends, became his company. And with their help Ambiguous took shape.
With strong roots taking a firm hold, Ambiguous continued to build its name on its design credentials and an indifference to convention and explanation. The raw, fresh clothes gained an underground following within the southern California boarding community and would eventually attract Japanese kids and the attention of the business world.
Ambiguous has returned full circle to the origins of founder Frank Delgadillo. But the group of friends that started with a dream has grown into a family, the original idea intact and transformed into a constituency given teeth to hit the ground running.
Ambiguous have gathered a devoted group of team riders from Skate
and Snow, as well as bands from different music genres and a collective
of artists, Illustrators and Graphic Designers. They individually
reflect the company, right down to collaborating with the design
team on individual designs for new lines.
“Creative Intelligence,” the latest chapter to unfold, will be the most riveting yet. And we want to share it with anyone who will listen..
