Brands

COMUNE is a contemporary street and creative culture brand that was formed from the idea that there will always be people out there who not only embrace the rawness and imperfections of the everyday life, but use it to creatively push the boundaries of what’s possible in skateboarding, fashion, art, and music their own way, with complete disre-gard of the consequences.

The goal of COMUNE is to provide clothing that reflects this lifestyle of carefree idealism and to support the people that choose to live it. “We got together on the premise that we’d inspire each other by just doing the work that we do as individuals, in our own mediums. It is a truly authentic group of creative minds, artistic hands and creative athletes,” said founder Frank Delgadillo.

COMUNE’s mantra, “Something Better Change” reflects the personalities and distinct style of the people responsible for COMUNE who continually push to change and influence the look of the industry.

COMUNE debuted globally with its launch of the Fall 2009 collection in June 2009 and continues to expand its current structure through the addition of DROP CITY, an in-novative and economic gallery space made from recycled steel shipping containers. DROP CITY provides the plat-form to attract likeminded creative people to COMUNE’s artist community and clothing brand. Collaborating artists and photographers include: Corey Smith, Jimmy Fontaine, Jay Lee Parry, Hunter Longe, Justin Bland, Andrew Kuyken-dal, Gareth Stehr, Shelby Menzel, Nathan and Noah Rice, and Ben Frost.

The collection continues to evolve COMUNE both as a brand as well an identity. Each silhouette is directly in-spired from the people behind COMUNE. Whether its a paint streaked pair of denim from a Drop City contribu-tor, a new wash development from the old jeans from one of COMUNE’s skate/snow team riders or a home tailored sweater from a COMUNE employee, each piece has a defined origin in the collection.

Gentle Fawn is a dynamic and imaginative line of clothing that speaks for people who follow their own paths in life.  Our style is clean and modern, with details that give each piece of clothing distinctiveness.  Our design reflects a strong sense of fashionable edge, but never neglects the bit of charm that sets us apart from the rest.

Fashion is often a question of design versus function.  Season after season, Gentle Fawn manages to create a line with the perfect blend of both great designs and functionality.  The brand has emerged as a stylish mix of nature and city elements.  This balance is the cornerstone of the collection and reflects the lives and philosophies of owners Daniel and Carla.

Over the years, we have maintained a loyal customer base which has consistently given us valuable feedbacks.  This has allowed us to continue improving our fits, fabrics and designs. Paying close attention to fine details and the quality of all products has ensured that Gentle Fawn delivers nothing but the best.

Insight is a fashion lead lifestyle label, born out of the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. We come from a surf heritage yet lead a lifestyle that encompasses all that is surf, skate, street, art, music, fashion and popular culture. Our designers follow their intuition to create unique trends, and pay little attention to where the crowd is heading –they prefer to create their own path. This isn?t high science of course however good ideas and good design are priceless and that?s what we are all about.

We?ve brought together a concentration of Australia?s most talented designers; a collective remarkably free of the toddler-like preciousness that cripple so many others. We love these guys. And we trust them with the company green. Each designer carries the company plastic and is given free reign to roam the world on a regular basis, noses raised to the winds of change.

Insight utilises an eccentric gaggle of artists to produce our graphics. Our artistic friends are just soda jerks kids who talk about the revolution that will start at the hips. These kids are several of our close buddies which makes work fun, coswe get to hang out and get creative together.

So there?s a little bit about ourselves. As we said, we like to do things differently, do them our way. As one of our favourite bands The Mint Chicks say, „if you can?t move out of your comfort zone, then don?t be shocked when it becomes a prison?.

The Quiet Life is a small project from Los Angeles that is run by Andy Mueller
and Jennifer Pitt. Kevin Fernley joined the team in Oct. 2006.

Here's a little something about Andy:
Andy Mueller was raised in the mid-west on a healthy diet of BMX, skateboarding, music and magazines. At an early age, Andy became addicted to the art of image making and photo taking. In 1993, Andy founded OhioGirl Design, a small design/photo/film studio. In 1997, Andy started "The Quiet Life", as an outlet for purely creative ideas, with a few friends from within OhioGirl.
Originally producing only one or two designs a year, The Quiet Life has grown into a much larger project. The Quiet LIfe now releases 2 seasons a year with worldwide distribution, produces special designs for Upper Playground's 50-24-SF artist line and for 2K by Gingham, and releases limitied edition items that can only be found on this website.
In addition to the Quiet Life, Andy works full time at Girl Skateboards as a member of the infamous "Art Dump."At Girl, Andy's main duty is to art direct Girl's shoe company Lakai Limited Footwear, but he also designs skateboard deck graphics to Girl Skateboards and Chocolate Skateboards, shoots photos for Fourstar, Ruby and the other brands within Girl, and contributes elsewhere when time allows. Andy also continues to do freelance photograph, design, and special projects under the name OhioGirl, and co-runs a small "indie" music label called OhioGold Records,
Andy currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, two cats, bird, and a new baby boy!
He also really likes to play ping-pong and recently picked up his golf clubs for the first time in 15 years....
